Amy Murphy Dowd, President

Amy has served in Chief Financial Officer roles in the Digital Marketing industry for such organizations as Razorfish, DigitasLBi, and currently at Publicis.Sapient. Amy has served as Treasurer at the Brookwood School, and is currently the Treasurer of the US Optimist National Team and the Assistant Treasurer of the Corinthian Yacht Club. Amy is a frequent traveler who spends a great deal of time at youth Opti regattas, hockey tournaments, skiing in Vermont, and (armchair) sailing. 


Jim Taylor, Board Member

Jim Taylor has been sailing since childhood, “messing about in boats” on the Delaware River and on a Rhode Island salt pond. He earned a B.A. from Haverford College, and a graduate degree from the ‘Ted Hood School of Yachting Technology,’ where he worked on a variety of ocean racing, America’s Cup 12-meter, and production cruising designs. He is married to Anne, has an adult son Nat. Jim has been a professional yacht designer for almost 44 years. Jim and Nat race Rhodes 19 winning the Rhodes 19 Nationals in 2014.


Kenneth P. Taylor, O.D., Treasurer

Dr. Taylor spent over 30 years as a senior executive in the global ophthalmic and medical device industry. He specialized in technology and market evaluations, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Now retired, Ken is as involved and engaged as ever. He is Treasurer of the Corinthian Yacht Club and serves on their Executive Committee and Chairs the Finance Committee. Growing up in Marblehead he began sailing at an early age and was fortunate to have summer jobs driving launches and teaching sailing. He is passionate about the impact sailing can have shaping one’s life.  Over his career, Ken has served on the board of directors and assisted a number of non-profit organizations, ranging from his church, to community health centers, the New England College of Optometry and home owner associations.


Pat Zonnenberg, Secretary

An attorney, mediator, and sometime sailor, Pat spent over a decade representing Fortune 500 companies and others in complex commercial disputes. She currently has her own mediation and facilitation practice and is contracts counsel for a Seattle-based business. Pat fully embraces community involvement and has served on the Executive Committee of the Corinthian Yacht Club, as a Trustee of the Brookwood School, and as a board member and volunteer at several other non-profit organizations. Truly at home on the water and outdoors, she has raced sailboats for many years, including Rhodes 19s, Townies, and Sonars. Her time is frequently spent supporting high school team racing and youth Opti, Laser, and C420 sailing


Bill Quinn, Board Member

Vice Commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club and real estate attorney. Bill has served as the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Salem, an elected member of both the Salem School Committee and the Town of Marblehead Board of Library Trustees, and numerous community and professional boards and committees.
